Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK)
Three Krishi Vigyan Kendra’s (KVK’s) have been established in the districts of Kushi Nagar, Sant Ravidas Nagar and Deoria under the administrative control of Indian Institute of Vegetable Research, Varanasi for assessment, refinement and promotion of technologies for wider and quicker adoption amongst the growers. The establishment of KVK will not only help in improving the farming technologies but also ensure better nutritional and livelihood security in the respective districts. The KVKs regularly organizes kisan melas, field level demonstration of proven technologies in the farmers' field and training programmes on various aspects of agriculture, animal husbandry and home science for the benefit of the farmers, farm women, unemployed youth and development workers.
KVK, Sargatia, Kushi Nagar
- KVK, Kushinagar was established in the year 2005 and is located at Sargatia, within IIVR Seed Production Center campus. The Kendra has an area of 20 ha. This center is 6 km from Tamkuhiraj on N.H.-28.
KVK, Sant Ravidas Nagar
- The KVK was established in the year 2009 on an of 14.07 ha and is located at Bejwan village about 20 km away from Gyanpur district headquarter and 8 km away from Aurai on Aurai–Ugapur–Manikpur road.
- KVK, Deoria is located at Malhana village of Bhatpar Rani Tahsil. The campus was established in 2009 and spread over a 8.16 ha area. It is 38 km from Deoria district headquarter, on Salempur-Bhatpar Rani road and 8 km from Salempur Railway Station.
